Built in 1939 for the residence of Miss M Brown, North Adelaide.
The organ casework and windchest and the Stopped Diapason (in fact a
German Gedact) are much older than 1939 and are of German origin.
Winchest slider bearers are shimmed with German newswpaper.
Pipework supplied by Dodd in 1939 is from Alfred Palmer, London,
is of narrow sclae, narrow mouths and high cut. The Fifteenth is
a cut down Quintaton.
Installed 1946 at St Margaret's Anglican Church, Nedlands.
Installed at St Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Katanning, in 1964.
Removed 1979 by Paul Hufner to make way for new organ.
Restoration by P J Elms & Co commenced 1993. Windchests were
stripped and flooded with hot glue. Table and pallet faces were
all planed true. Toeboards were planed true. Pallets
releathered. Action parts refurbished. Wind reservoir
releatherd and wind trunking repaired. New Open Diapason provided
to replace original. 12 biggest pipes for Bourdon remain
unfinished.
Installed at Denmark Uniting Church in 1998 by P J Elms & Co.
