Built 1987 by Bellsham Pipe Organs (Australia) for the UWA Callaway Centre.
Relocated to the factory of Pipe Organs WA in 2003
Rebuilt as a totally new organ in 2005 by Pipe Organs WA for Mr Peter Meyer, NSW. This new organ is a 13 rank studio organ capable of realizing chamber music of
different periods, particularly classical French repertoire. The organ uses some
pipework and other components from the 1987 Bellsham instrument. Specification of the new organ can be found on the Pipe Organs WA web site.
This is the first instrument made by Pipe Organs of Western Australia to be located beyond Perth. It is their Opus 6. |

| Information on current organ |
The UWA instrument was placed in the Callaway Auditorium by Geoffrey Revell when Gerald
Hendry recommended that the School of Music purchase the organ for the students.
It was destined for Robin Groom's home studio, Kalamunda, but Revell, through an
arrangement with Robin, re-routed it to UWA School of Music and built Robin a
totally new instrument afterwards.
The organ fell into an appalling condition and eventually was
sold to Pipe Organs WA. Peter Meyer approached Pipe Organs WA in
2004 with a view to using it as a basis to build him an organ.
The organ is housed in a new music room extension to the existing Myer residence. |
